During the 1960s, psychedelic drugs took off in a big way. From LSD to marijuana, people felt the urge to reach for the outer limits of what it meant to be a conscious human being.
New scientific research broke through and overcame what used to be common sense about drugs and psychology.
Now, in the modern era, the experimentation into psychedelic mushrooms continues by both professors in lab coats and the common individual.
Let’s take a closer look at the fungus that Terence McKenna thought to be the foundation and impetus for all religious thought in human history.
What Are Psychedelic Mushrooms?
Mushrooms are one of nature’s most simple forms of plant life. A fungus which thrives on the inert organic matter, a great deal of mushroom types spread through the process of releasing airborne spores into the atmosphere.
Microscopic mushroom offspring then take root in a moist nutrient-rich environment and propagate themselves further. As long as there is sufficient moisture, and sometimes even when there’s not, one is likely to find mushrooms. Whether these mushrooms are safe for consumption is another matter.
While simple, mushrooms come in a huge variety of species containing a host of differing shapes, sizes, colors, chemical properties and other such traits. Some are toxic while others are edible. The ones we are concerned with today are the mushrooms that produce psychedelic effects in the being ingesting them.
The most common genus of psychedelic mushroom is called Psilocybe with over 100 species belonging to that family. There are also types of Copelandia, Gymnopilus, Inocybe, Mycena, Panaeolus, Pholiotin, and Pluteus, which contain psychoactive substances relating to Psilocybin.
A secondary yet no less potent mushroom grouping is called Amanita which names Amanita muscaria and Amanita pantherina as it’s psychedelic produce. Instead of Psilocybin, these furious fungal agents produce compounds known as Muscimol and Ibotenic acid.
That said, the genus carries many forms of toxic mushroom species so it’s much less popular and in much less demand or supply. Amanita is responsible for the majority of deaths due to mushroom poisoning.
That’s why it’s important to make the distinction between the toxic and non-toxic forms of mushrooms.
Anyone who uses Psilocybins should make it out in one piece with a story or two to show for it.
What Can Be Expected After Ingestion?
While there are many strains of “shroom,” as the young people call it, the effects of hallucinogenics vary from user to user depending on environment and individual psycho-chemistry. That said, the power and duration mostly have to do with the purity of the hallucinogenic compound.
This means the more psychedelic chemicals there are per cubic millimeter, the more potent the effect will be. Impurities can cause mild nausea, but seasoned users don’t usually find it a problem from what I have heard. (If you are new to the experience, it has been recommended to me to check this web page out, How to Use Psilocybin Mushrooms.)
A trip on mushrooms usually lasts between four and five hours but just like the strength of the hallucination, this can vary with dosage and purity.
Helpful List of Common Effects During a Mushroom Trip
Note: some of this has more to do with anxiety during the trip rather than the mushroom itself.
- Mild numbness usually in the facial and overall cranial area.
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure, but this should die off as one gets more comfortable with what’s going on.
- A decrease in saliva production, giving a dry mouth sensation.
- Twitching and convulsions (I hope you have a sitter that can lay you on your side if this occurs.)
- Heightened reflexes, like spider-man but not.
- Lack of body temperature equilibrium, i.e. one moment feverish, next moment chilly.
- You might wet yourself, so discreetly bring an extra pair of pants and underwear.
- Distortion of the physical make up of reality, also known as a hallucination.
- Confusion, mostly having to do with the prior effect.
- Due to time being relative to the observer, who can truly say where one moment ends and another begins? When you take mushrooms, expect a different sense of time apart from the rest of the world.
- Please don’t drive on these things, nor walk near traffic for that matter.
- New things often leave people feeling nervous. The more excitable among us may get panic attacks.
- An increase in positive emotions.
- New insights into both old and new ideas.
Again, be aware that results vary from individual to individual and are heavily influenced by environmental factors. The best bet seems to be outside in a calm, safe, nature-friendly environment around people you trust.
Mushrooms on Darknet Markets
Psychedelic mushrooms are thought of as a controlled substance in most parts of the world.
But logically, ethically and morally speaking, it makes no sense to put someone in prison for dealing in and/or with a proven non-addictive plant.
Still, the law is the law and certain products need to be handled in a delicate manner.
There’s quite a number of sellers on Dream Market with a variety of different strains to try out.
A vendor by the name of Mushrooms4u currently holds a rating of 4.97 out of 5 stars for customer satisfaction and has been active for a little under a year. Golden Teacher Magic Mushrooms are the primary stock and come in organic or capsule form for a decent price.
A separate but equal darknet market that contains mushrooms, as well as other things, is titled Wall Street Market. It has a simple yet effective design like most websites in the darknet.
I heard from a friend that a good mushroom vendor there went by the name dreadpirate2018 (gotta love his confidence if nothing else). He deals in Amazonian Cubensis, a large form of psychedelic mushroom.
He currently holds a solid perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars, and any order over 10 grams nets a buyer 3 additional grams for free. Not bad prices either.
Have Fun, Be Safe
Psychedelics can be lots of fun as long as you keep in mind that not every trip will be sunshine and rainbows.
When you are on any type of mind-altering substance, it’s just a fact that reality will be skewed and you will be in an altered state. Such states can lead to wonders, insights, scary things and weird experiences.
So, make the necessary preparations before you travel the psychedelic paths.
